An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, American friends!

Many people are unable to travel home to see family this year, which means Thanksgiving is looking a bit different than usual for a lot of us this time around.

Louisa May Alcott wrote a lovely short story about when Thanksgiving goes awry called An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving. This tale is about just that sort of holiday where nothing goes quite as planned—something we know a thing or two about this far into 2020.

If you're feeling a little blue this Thanksgiving, I do hope you'll give it a read. Alcott's stories are full of optimism and joy, even when her characters are facing tough times. It's wonderful how books and stories like this one can help us feel right at home, even if we're physically far away in real life.

So, go on, give An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving a read, and share a funny Thanksgiving mishap of your own with us in the comments section below.

Wherever you are, and whoever you spend it with this holiday, I hope you have a good one.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
